PAYE Tax Calculator (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a South African PAYE / income-tax and cost-to-company calculator published by Khwelisile Lukhuleni (“the developer”). This policy explains how the app handles your information.

Summary

PAYE Tax Calculator works fully offline and is built to keep your information on your device. We do not collect, transmit, store on our servers, sell, or share any personal information.

Information you enter

The salary, deductions, medical, retirement, bonus and package details you type in are processed only on your device to produce estimates, and saved only in the app’s local storage on your device so your calculations are available next time you open the app. This information is never sent to us or any third party.

Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect or process:

Names, email addresses, phone numbers or contact details.
Accounts or sign-in credentials (the app has none).
Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or location.
Analytics, crash logs, or usage tracking.

The app requests no runtime permissions and makes no network connections.

Third-party services

PAYE Tax Calculator contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only third-party libraries are open-source Flutter packages used for on-device functionality (e.g. local storage and number formatting); they do not transmit your data.

Storage and retention

Your entries persist in the app’s private, sandboxed local storage until you delete them in the app or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes all data the app stored on your device. Because the data never leaves your device, we cannot access, retrieve, or delete it for you.

Children

The app is a general-purpose financial calculator and is not directed at children.

Your rights (POPIA)

Because we do not collect or process your personal information on our systems, there is no personal information held by us to access, correct or delete. You remain in control of the data stored locally on your device.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, in the app or store listing.
